Prayer of Consecration To The Sacred Heart

O Sacred Heart of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to Thee I consecrate and offer up my person and my life, my actions, trials and sufferings, that my entire being may henceforth only be employed in loving, honoring and glorifying Thee.

This is my irrevocable will, to belong entirely to Thee, and to do all for Thy love, renouncing with my whole heart all that can displease Thee.

I take Thee, O Sacred Heart, for the sole object of my love, the protection of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my frailty and inconstancy, the reparation for all the defects of my life, and my secure refuge at the hour of my death.

I fear all from my own weakness and malice, but placing my entire confidence in Thee, O Heart of Love, I hope for all from Thine infinite goodness.

Annihilate in me all that can displease or resist Thee. Imprint Thy pure love so deeply in my heart that I may never forget Thee or be separated from Thee.

I beseech Thee, through Thine infinite goodness, grant that my name be engraved on Thy Heart for in this I place all my happiness and all my glory, to live and to die as one of Thy devoted servants.

Amen.

CONSECRATION OF THE HUMAN RACE TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS
*Ordered by His Holiness, Pope Pius XI, December 11, 1925.
For One Fold and One Shepherd

Most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thee.

We are Thine and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy Most Sacred Heart.

Many indeed have never known Thee; many, too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee.

Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart.

Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee.

Grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.

Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.

Grant, O Lord, to Thy Church, assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound, from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to thy Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to It be glory and honor forever.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

O most blessed and Immaculate Virgin,
ornament and beauty of Mount Carmel, thou who beholdest with thy special kindness
those who wear thy blessed Scapular, look lovingly upon me, and cover me with the mantle of thy motherly protection.

Fortify my weakness with thy power, enlighten the darkness of my understanding with thy wisdom, increase Faith, Hope and Charity in me, adorn my soul with the graces and virtues that will make me pleasing to thee and thy Divine Son.

Assist me during my life, and console me at the hour of my death
and present me to the most blessed Trinity as thy devoted servant, to praise and bless thee in heaven forever.

Amen.

Prayer To The Divine Mercy

O Lord, behold here before You
a soul who exists in this world
in order to allow You
to exercise Your admirable mercy
and manifest it before heaven and earth.

Others may glorify You
through their faithfulness and perseverance,
thus making evident the power of Your grace.

How sweet and generous You are
to those who are faithful to You!

Nevertheless, I will glorify You
by acquainting others
of Your goodness to sinners and by reminding them that Your mercy
is above all malice,
that nothing can exhaust it,
and that no relapse,
no matter how shameful or criminal,
should allow the sinner to despair of forgiveness.

I have offended You grievously, O Beloved Redeemer,
but it would be still worse if I were to offend You by thinking that You were lacking
in goodness to forgive me.

I would rather He deprive me
of everything else
than the trust I have in Your Mercy.

Should I fall a hundred times or should my crimes be a hundred times worse than they actually are, I would continue to trust in Your mercy.

Amen.

Prayer To Be Merciful

O Lord. I want to be completely transformed into Your mercy and to be Your living reflection.

May the greatest of all divine attributes, that of Your unfathomable mercy, pass through my heart and soul to my neighbor.

Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful, so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances, but look for what is beautiful in my neighbors' souls and come to their rescue.

Help me, O Lord, that my ears may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbors' needs and not be indifferent to their pains and moanings.

Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful, so that I should never speak negatively of my neighbor, but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for all.

Help me, O Lord, that my hands may be merciful and filled with good deeds, so that I may do only good to my neighbors and take upon myself the more difficult and toilsome tasks.

Help me, O Lord, that my feet may be merciful, so that I may hurry to assist my neighbor, overcoming my own fatigue and weariness.

Help me, O Lord, that my heart may be merciful so that I myself may feel all the sufferings of my neighbor.

May Your mercy, O Lord, rest upon me.

Amen.

Prayer To The Shoulder Wound Of Jesus

Prayer To The Shoulder Wound Of Jesus

O Loving Jesus,
Meek Lamb of God,
I, a miserable sinner,
salute and worship the most Sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder on which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross,
which so tore Thy flesh and laid bare Thy bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other wound of Thy Most Blessed Body.

I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful;
I praise and glorify Thee and give Thee thanks for this most Sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross, to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins and to lead me towards Heaven along the Way of Thy Cross.

Amen.

•Composed by Saint Bernard of Clairvaux [born in 1090 AD, died on August 20, 1153 AD].

*He composed this prayer, after learning that the shoulder wound of our Lord Jesus Christ, was the most painful of all His wounds.
